A handsome 19th century French Louis XVI style draw leaf or refectory dining table handcrafted of solid walnut in Lyon, circa 1890s, having a rectangular top with light walnut parquetry bands and two draw leaves sitting above a straight apron. The leaves pull out in an instant when needed, then just as quickly tuck back in to reclaim floor space. Raised on carved, turned legs. Exhibiting clean lines that work in countless styles of decor, this classic French dining table has a lustrous French polish and is a fine example of the high quality workmanship found in furniture made in Lyon. Table can easily seat 10 people when open.
