19th Century French Provençal Regence Style Bleached Oak Demilune Enfilade Buffet
A stunning 19th century French Provençal Regence style demilune enfilade buffet handcrafted by talented artisans near Avignon of solid oak that's been bleached or washed to a natural finish retaining its beautiful patina, circa 1870s. Unmistakably French, this wonderful washed oak buffet has a painted faux slate demilune top surmounting the conforming case. Four columns with carved rocaille and foliate motifs provide a framework for the center moulded panel doors and the rounded corner cabinet doors, all featuring carved acanthus leaf motifs and adorned with original iron pulls. Doors open to reveal a painted interior and single shelf for ample storage. Raised on a carved, shaped plinth base. A wonderful Provençal piece that's perfect for entertaining and storing china and serving pieces with spacious cabinets and serving surface.
