A set of 8 early 20th century French Louis XV style dining side chairs handcrafted in the Loire Valley near Paris, circa 1900, having high slightly slanted chapeau de gendarme backs with cognac color leather upholstery secured with brass nail heads above a fully padded leather seat also secured with nailhead trim. Each seat rests on a molded skirt that's delicately scalloped on all sides and features carved floral and foliate motifs. Raised on graceful cabriole legs with carved knees ending in scrolled French toes. The warmth of the original leather upholstery compliments the walnut patina beautifully, making this set of eight antique French side chairs a perfect choice for any dining room. A very solid and sturdy set of dining chairs that are ready for everyday use.
