19th Century Carved French Country Louis XV Style Bleached Oak Enfilade Buffet
A beautiful 19th century carved French Country Louis XV style bleached enfilade buffet handcrafted of solid old growth oak near Rouen, the capital city of the Normandy region on the River Seine in northern France, having a center tier of three deep drawers stacked one upon the other flanked by carved panel doors that each open to reveal a single shelf, circa 1870s. Carved, scalloped apron features a large shell motif. Raised on short cabriole legs ending in scroll toes. Original iron hardware. A wonderful provincial piece that's perfect for entertaining and storing china and serving pieces with spacious cabinets, drawers and serving surface.
