Impressive 19th Century French Reclaimed Cherrywood Live Edge Harvest Trestle Table
Impressive live edge apple harvest trestle table custom made in France of 19th century reclaimed cherry wood by a skilled French ebéniste after an 18th century harvest table we found in Normandy. At 10.5 feet in length, this beautiful plank top trestle table with its stunning grain pattern is joined together with butterfly joints to expose a natural live edge and rests on two trestle bases with grooves at each end so the top fits into each base for stability.
With over 800 varieties of apples grown in the Normandy region, apple orchards have existed since at least the 8th century. Because tables like this were used in the orchards for workers to gather together for lunch, they were originally made to easily put together and then take down to store in the barns when not in use. We can make this table stationary if necessary. Seats 10 easily. This natural form table works in both traditional and contemporary settings and is perfect for inside or outside living in a protected area. Chairs sold separately.
