19th Century French Napoleon III Period Bleached Barley Twist Center or Side Table with Marble Top
A 19th century French Napoleon III period barley twist table handcrafted near Lyon of old growth French oak, circa 1860s. The original shaped Carrara marble top sits above an intricately carved frieze of acanthus leaves and cartouches. Raised on barley twist legs joined by a barley twist "X" stretcher with acorn finial. Carved on all sides, this beautiful table has been washed or bleached to a natural finish and can float in a room as a center table or side table.
