18th Century Solid Walnut Provincial Console or Dining Table
18th century provincial console or dining table handcrafted near Arles of solid old growth French walnut having a rectangular top with canted corners, circa 1770s. The 3.5" thick single board top is supported by four turned legs joined by turned horizontal stretchers. This handsome table exudes a rustic elegance and retains its beautiful rich, original color and patina developed over the ages. A fresh French polish allows the wood to shine. Suitable as a dining or console table, it will also make a terrific hall table. Thick and sturdy timbers able to withstand daily use by a busy family.
