Antique French Louis XIII style barley twist armchair handcrafted and carved of old growth French oak by talented artisans in Bordeaux, having the original leather back and newly upholstered mohair seat with nail head trim, circa 1860s. The stylized chapeau de gendarme back and scalloped nail head trim of the seat adds an extra touch of elegance. Raised on turned and barley twist legs with barley twist stretchers, this wonderful French armchair is structurally sound and the leather back is in very good condition.
