A fine 19th century Louis XV style giltwood bench having a loose down cushion upholstered in a beautiful silk damask appliqué atop an elaborately carved upholstered frame with floral and shell motifs on all four sides, 1870s. Raised on short cabriole legs. This exceptional, large upholstered bench is a very versatile piece that can also be used as a daybed, banquette, or very large ottoman for extra seating.
