Early 19th century rustic French Provincial work table handcrafted of mélèze wood by artisans in the Alsace region, circa 1810s. The rectangular plank top sits above a scalloped apron with a single drawer running the length of the table. Supported by a turned and carved trestle base joined by a center stretcher. Whether used as a work or pantry table in the kitchen, a console, small dining table, desk, or island, this versatile table with its centuries old patina will withstand everyday use with ease. Finished on all sides so that it can float in the room.
