Having an inset Carrara marble top, this handsome walnut antique French chest of drawers features a meticulously bookmatched burled walnut front with 4 full size drawers that are each adorned with brass escutcheons. Raised on shaped bracket feet. Louis Philippe style is refined, linear and restrained. The strong, bold lines and subtle curves of Louis Philippe pieces emphasize the geometric quality of the style created during the reign of King Louis Philippe (1830-1848), making commodes like this easily fit into an existing home. It mixes flawlessly with other periods and styles.
