Early 19th Century Primitive Spanish Catalan Pine Bench
A handsome early 19th century primitive bench from the Catalan region of Spain, circa 1810s. Handcrafted of mélèze, a hard pine grown in mountainous regions, this Spanish bench features plank construction and an amazing sun washed patina that has weathered to a beautiful honey color over the last hundred plus years. With a delightful scalloped apron, it's perfect for a hallway, mudroom, foot of the bed, or in the kitchen.
