Rare 18th century Louis XVI period table de gibier (hunting table) from the South of France, made of solid walnut with chestnut as a secondary wood. Detailed apron includes a center drawer flanked by sliding doors. The perfect size for use as a sofa table, kitchen island, or console. This handsome table was used to present game after a hunt, which was considered to be a pastime of Royalty and the privileged class.
