The perfect addition to any kitchen, a monumental 19th century Portuguese solid brass butcher's or butcher shop balance scale having the complete set of original weights. This fabulous culinary antique with it's brass upright surmounted by a bull's head, supporting a balance beam stamped 'COSTA BRANCO' and twin circular brass pans hanging from tripod chains will have everyone talking. Fourteen graduating weights set into the shaped base. Beautiful patina. The markings on the pans are from the controller to show the scales were balanced and in proper working order. You don't have to be an epicure or connoisseur to appreciate this one.
