Lovely 18th century French Louis XVI period oak commode having a faux marble top and a wonderfully distressed painted finish. Supported on curved and fluted stiles sitting on short turned toupie feet. The three short and two long drawers feature typical neoclassical elements and hand carved detailing across the drawer facades. The scale of the drawers ensures an ample amount of storage wherever this chest is placed and its clean lines complement both contemporary and traditional interiors. Original cast bronze neoclassical pulls and escutcheons.
