Elegant 19th century French period Louis Philippe bibliotheque (bookcase) handcrafted of solid cherry by talented artisans near Mont Saint-Michel, an island commune in Normandy, having a molded cornice above a pair of three-quarter glass paneled doors with original antique hand blown glass panes and "X" shaped mullions. Five interior shelves. Resting on a plinth base ending in wood sabots, named after the popular wooden shoes from the Brittany region. The timeless design and simple, elegant lines and gentle curves of the Louis Philippe period allow this handsome cabinet to mix flawlessly with other periods and styles.
