18TH CENTURY SOLID CHERRY COUNTRY FRENCH DRAW LEAF WORK OR PANTRY TABLE
Item # LFALO1768
An 18th century solid cherry draw leaf work or pantry table handmade by talented artisans near Mont Saint Michel, an island commune in Normandy. This Country French draw leaf table was often found in small farm houses where it doubled as a work table when not open and a dining table when open, having added storage space below for kitchen utensils, pots and pans, or dish cloths. Raised on turned legs and stabilized by an H-stretcher. A practical table for smaller spaces, finished on all sides so that it can float in the room. Also makes a wonderful console or sofa table.
