Handsome 18th century French Louis XVI period commode handcrafted by skilled artisans from the Lyon region in walnut and fruitwood marquetry, having five drawers with original brass drop bail handles and escutcheon plates flanked by reeded stiles on tapered feet. Circa 1780s. This simple, yet elegant commode works well in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
