18th century Louis XV walnut garde manger handcrafted in the Normandie region of walnut and chestnut featuring an upper pair of doors having a carved center lozenge with a fruitwood and ebonized inlaid 6-point star. Lower open storage above carved, shaped apron, all resting on short cabriolet legs. This one-piece "keeper of the food" would have been used to store food much in the same way as our American pie safe or pantry. A charming Country French cabinet perfect for displaying and storing your favorite dishes, linens, books and games with lower storage for fruits and veggies or pots and pans.
