A pair of 19th century Spanish leather footstools having a carved walnut base with a cordovan leather seat and large nailhead trim, circa 1890s. These handsome stools are beautifully handcrafted and feature the original leather that has aged to perfection. A fantastic little pair of stools to rest your feet on or use for kids to pull up as an extra seat. Cordou or cordovan leather derives its name from the city of Cordoba, Spain where it was first produced by the Visigoths in the 7th century.
